SUMMARY: Approval is requested to purchase a Jet A Fuel truck. The City Council approved a grant contract with TDOT-Aeronautics to purchase the truck on May 9, 2017. Bids were solicited and none were received. The Airport Manager continued to search for a truck.
There is $35,000 ($17,500-Grant, $17,500-local match) to be spent from the grant by May 28. The Airport Manager has located a fuel truck for sale in the amount of $20,000, which is less than the approved grant amount. The local match has been allocated for the purchase in the FY17-18 budget.
