SUMMARY: The Cellebrite System is a computer based evidence collection program used for the retrieval and collection of digital evidence from cell phones and similar electronic devices. The collected evidence will be used for the prosecution of illegal activities. The Cellebrite System was recommended by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation as a sole-source investigation tool for the narcotics and detective division of the Crossville Police Department. The Detective Captain has obtained a quote from Cellebrite Inc. for this computer system. The City Manager has reviewed the quote and recommends purchasing the Cellebrite System. This equipment purchase was budgeted and approved in the 2018-2019 annual budget and will be funded via the Drug Fund.
