SUMMARY: A policy for water levels and maintenance procedures needs to be updated. The policy for water levels and maintenance procedures needs to be updated.
Mr. Wood suggested general policy needed for guidance on the lake levels dropping down every 4 years for property maintenance and to do it at opposite times as Lake Tansi's lake lowering. The City Manager is requesting clear procedures on communicating with property owners in the policy. Lowering lake levels during the months of October, November, and December and ending no later than February to capture winter and spring rains will be considered as well as not lowering the level more than 4 feet.
Jerry Kerley will report if TDEC has any policies in regards to lowering of the lake.
