Annexation and Sewer Line Extension Request - 2656 HWY 70N

SUMMARY: The church located at 2656 HWY 70N has requested annexation for the purpose of sewer connection. There is no sewer located near the property. A mainline sewer extension would be required. There are two sewer lines approximately 1500 feet away from the property. One is located on Northside Lane and the other is located south on HWY 70N. TDOT is proposing a bridge project at the crossing the Little Obed. City staff would not want to extend a sewer line before that project is complete, since it might require a relocation. Staff is recommending the extension from Northside Lane. Since this mainline extension would be a part of the annexation, the property owner would only be responsible for the material cost of the mainline extension. The cost estimate was not available at the time of agenda item creation. That number will be provided to the Planning Commission at the meeting and added to the minutes. Other than the sewer extension, a standard plan of services is attached.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the annexation and sewer line extension, pending the payment of material costs.
